NEXT IS THE SOFTWARE COMPATIBILITY?
The Office team of the Microsoft charts its own course because the officials have the option to support platforms that make business sense. The Office 2007 took this as eschewing the exclusive tie-ins to the Vista that had been delayed due to which the latest version of the ATM has been working greatly with the XP as well as Vista.
It goes the same for the Microsoft’s BackOffice product line as the advantages of serving Vista as a client to Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SQL Server, or Microsoft SharePoint are few, if any. Microsoft Office, being the gatekeeper to them serves to level the playing field.
Microsoft is rumored to target Vista in an exclusive manner. If one tries to find the features and functions that the Vista has been supporting and XP does not is quite a difficult task. Except the use of DirectX 10 in Vista as it is its new technology, there is no reason for expelling the Microsoft XP from the list of the supported platforms of the new application. It is not that we are arguing that you should stick with the XP forever but just that this generation should be skipped.
THE CONCLUSION
Windows XP is considered a better option seeing the compatibility and will be considered the same till the end.
