Playing media files is more fluent in GP32 as compared to Nintendo which uses freeware media player GPcinema whereas GP32 is a step ahead compared to the Game Boy Advance. The entire software is stored in Smartmedia card letting you store applications, custom media and games including alternative firmware. Downloading of games is possible through the internet encrypted to GP32 ID or from Korean portal by submitting GP32 ID. Retail box come as a secondary usage containing smartcard and put restriction to run the encrypted games from this card (SMD ID).
