Game consoles are also known as console games in the UK. Game console is an electronic product designed and marketed over the world for functionalities. Many game console manufacturers are there and have launched unique model of game consoles with new games which are called ‘video games’ as video is a main element in them. Every game console has a main unit and a controller which is essential to control the features. Some buttons and pads can also viewed, audio and visual effects can be obtained from your television. Microsoft Xbox, Sony PlayStation and Nintendo Game Cube are the examples of consoles.

Certain games come with only audio element while some consoles offer audio and video elements in features. A handheld game consoles is marketed with the display, speakers, controller, console etc. With technical advancements, it becomes easy to get the latest games downloading them from the internet. A demo play on the internet can be obtained as well. If you have simpler game consoles, you may not be able to enjoy these kinds of advancements. You can play only fixed versions of fixed games.

PC requires more power than console games because PC has to share its power with CPU, monitor, keyboard and mouse. But, if you can sacrifice your money on electricity bill, you will enjoy amazing features through PC games which will not be offered by simpler console games.

COMPATIBILITY

Compatibility is not required to be considered for console games. While you in PC games, it is essential to check your system’s compatibility to support your features.

CONSIDERATIONS

If the gamer is your kid, then it is not good to offer them PC games as they may risk you by deleting important files unknowingly. It is best to prefer easy consoles for kids. If your whole family is interested in playing, a console with multiple participants support should be chosen.

ESRB is an acronym the term “The Entertainment Software Ratings Board” who gives ratings for games using alphabets for indicating different rates. Frequently used ratings are given below:

T’ Rating

This means that the features are only meant for teenagers and not for kids. Usually “T” rated are when a game contains violence or obscene words.

‘M’ Rating

This indicates that the game contains unwanted sexual themes or explicit violence and hence, are meant for persons who are above 17.

‘A/O’ Rating

A/O rating is given only for adults for games having violence and nudity.
