The development for this game, Prince of Persia had begun soon after the launch of the Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones was released.
In the month of May 2008, the developers of the game had launched two videos where one showed the creation of the new character of the Prince while the other showing the detailed characteristics of the new character Elika.

To play as the Classic Prince and the PRINCESS, you will have to first go to the main menu, press “Extras” option, select “Skin Manager” and enter the code “525858542″.

To play as the Prince Altair, you will first have to go to the main menu, press “Extras” option. Now you need to register the game so that the online profile of the player gets attached to the ubi.com account.

To play as the Princess Jade, you will have to complete the game at the Story mode at the “Skin Manager” menu.

DISTINCTIVE SOUNDTRACK
The theme song of the game includes the “Still Alive” composed by the Swedish musician Lisa Miskovsky coming with five remixes composed by Benny Benassi, Junkie XL, Paul van Dyk, Teddybears and Armand Van Helden titled by the name Still Alive – the Remixes had been released on the 11th of November, 2008.

SEQUELS AND DEMOS
The producer of the game has stated that the game will have three versions.
A demo for the game was launched on the platform of PlayStation Store for the Playstation Network on the 30th of October, 2008.
Another demo was released on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for Xbox Live on 31st October, 2008 having the training level and some little opening levels.

THE CHARACTERS OF MIRROR’S EDGE
FAITH takes up the role of the player and is a EURASIAN runner with the shape of her right eye just like the logo of the game who is the only character that can be played upon.
The story is made up with Faith’s aim of freeing KATE from a corrupt government where both the mother of whom had been killed during the “NOVEMBER RIOTS” with the father deserting the two girls and making them live and grow up on the streets. As a young girl, Faith entered the office of MERCURY who had catch hold of her being impressed with her skills and trained her as a runner, taught of how to rely on the various and distinct forms of communication that are taken notice by the government.

A LITTLE SHORT STORY BEHIND THE NAME
The name of the game has been derived from the mirror-like feature of the city of the tall skyscrapers and the existence of Faith that are placed on the city’s fringes with their dissidents making her pushed to the edge. The game is set up in a utopian city where the environment has very low crime, clean streets and very soft architecture that has been ruled by a totalitarian government conducting the levels of the surveillance on the citizens. The runners are basically courier servicing techniques.
The city is mainly white colored, with other colors of orange, little bit of green color for the sterile environment but also the plants and the trees are white colored. The grey color of the game was less used as the game had to be differentiated from other games. The color of the game is a very important feature of indication of health.
