Audi A1 is a supermini luxury 3 door or 5 door car manufactured by Audi AG with the parent company being Volkswagen Group. This lovely looking car is a predecessor to Audi A2 expected to be released in March 2010. Audi A1 has a platform of MQB with the option for an engine of:

FEATURES OF AUDI A1

Audi is a supermini luxury car having 5 or 3 doors with a wheel base of 2460 mm having a length of 3910 mm, width of 1750 mm and height of 1400 mm. The Audi A1 is expected to be a competitor to the MINI and be produced at the Volkswagen Group factory in Brussels, Belgium. The A1 Sport back has a hybrid power train, with a 1.4 L petrol engine, S-Tronic dual-clutch transmission, a 20 kW (27 bhp) and 150 N·m electric motor. Quoted 0-62 mph acceleration is 7.9 seconds and average CO2 emissions are given as 92 g/km. The A1 Sport back has dimensions of the Metro project Quattro, except for a slightly greater length, at 3.99 m.

Audi A1 was previewed at the 2007, Motor Tokyo Show in the form of Audi Metro project Quattro Concept car with four seating featuring a hybrid power train in which the 1.4 L, 148 bhp Turbo FSI engine drives the from wheels through a 6 speed S-Tronic manual transmission, whereas the 40bhp engine drives the rear wheels.

The metro project Quattro can travel up to 62 miles at up to 62 mph on one charge of its lithium ion batteries reducing the fuel consumption by 15%. It has the rear suspension configuration, electro mechanical speed sensitive power steering with low energy draw, Audi magnetic ride adaptive damping technology and 0-62 mph in 7.8 seconds.
